About Soltex – A Pakistani Textile Supplier
Soltex supplies yarn, threads and woven fabrics to manufacturers, traders and exporters. We focus on getting specifications right, sharing honest test data and keeping our customers’ supply chains simple.
Who We Are
Soltex is a Pakistani textile company that supplies the basic materials other factories build on: yarn, thread and fabric. We work with businesses that turn those materials into garments, home textiles, sports balls, tents, bags, footwear, workwear and many other products, and with traders and exporters who distribute them in Pakistan and abroad.
Our name reflects what we do. Soltex is about textile solutions – finding the right yarn, thread or fabric for a customer’s process, specifying it clearly and delivering it consistently. We are not a brand of finished consumer goods; we are a supplier to the people who make them. That shapes everything about how we work, from the way we write order sheets to the way we answer questions on WhatsApp.
We are based in Pakistan, a country with one of the deepest textile value chains in the world. Cotton is grown, ginned, spun, woven, processed and stitched here, and the country is a major exporter of yarn, fabric, home textiles and sports goods. Working inside that chain gives us access to a wide range of materials and specialist processes, and it means we understand the practical realities of the mills and factories our customers depend on.
What We Supply
Soltex offers seven product ranges. Many customers buy more than one, because related inputs often go into the same finished product.
| Product range | What it includes | Typical buyers |
|---|---|---|
| Yarn & Threads | Cotton, polyester and blended yarns; sewing and industrial threads | Weavers, knitters, garment and leather goods makers |
| Weaving & Woven Fabrics | Greige and finished plain, twill, drill and matt weaves | Garment, workwear, home-textile and printing units |
| Polyester Yarn & Fabric | Spun and filament polyester, poly-cotton yarns and fabrics | Thread makers, sports goods and outdoor fabric users |
| Canvas & Cotton Fabric | Cotton canvas and duck in a wide GSM range | Tent, tarpaulin, bag, shoe and cover makers |
| Football Fabric | Laminating base fabrics for ball panels | Football, volleyball and training ball makers |
| Bladder Winding Thread | Nylon and polyester thread for winding ball bladders | Premium sports ball manufacturers |
| Kite Flying Thread (Dour) | Plain, uncoated cotton kite string on reels and cones | Kite makers, traders and retailers |
Across these ranges we supply both stock items, which can be dispatched quickly, and made-to-order items, which are produced to an agreed specification. Where a product needs a specialist process such as dyeing, water-repellent finishing or lamination, we work with experienced processors and remain responsible to the customer for the result.
Our Approach to Quality
Textile problems are often invisible at the point of sale. A yarn with uneven count, a fabric with drifting picks per inch or a thread with weak spots may look fine in the bale or carton and only reveal itself on the customer’s machines or at their buyer’s inspection. By then, the cost of the problem is many times the value of the material. Our quality approach is built to catch those issues before goods leave us.
Lot testing
Every lot is checked against its specification. For yarn and thread we look at count, strength, evenness, twist and appearance. For fabric we check construction (ends and picks per inch), GSM, width and visible faults. Results are recorded against the lot number, which is marked on every carton, cone label or roll. When a customer places a repeat order, we can compare the new lot with the one they approved before.
Written specifications
Before a made-to-order job begins, we confirm the full specification in writing: fibre, count, ply, twist, construction, width, GSM, shade, finish, packing and labelling, along with quantity and delivery date. This order sheet becomes the reference for production and checking. If a requirement cannot be met exactly – for example, a particular width on available looms – we say so before production and propose an alternative, rather than discovering it after delivery.
Samples before bulk
We believe customers should test material in their own process before committing to a bulk order. We send yarn cones, thread spools and fabric swatches, and for new fabric developments we can arrange a short sample run. Once a sample is approved, it becomes the benchmark for bulk production.
Honest communication
Quality also means telling customers the truth. If a lot is borderline, a delivery date is at risk or raw material prices are moving, we let our customers know early. A small, honest message today saves a difficult conversation later.
How We Work With Customers
We aim to make buying textiles straightforward. A typical order follows these steps:
- Enquiry. You share the product, specification, quantity and delivery location, or send a sample for us to match.
- Quotation. We reply with price, minimum quantity, lead time and payment terms.
- Sample approval. We send a cone, spool or swatch for testing.
- Order confirmation. The specification is fixed in a written order sheet.
- Production and checking. Goods are made or allocated from stock and checked against the order sheet.
- Packing and dispatch. Goods are packed, labelled with lot numbers and shipped by road within Pakistan or by sea or air for export.
- After delivery. We stay in touch to make sure the material performs as expected and to plan repeat orders.
Each customer has a single point of contact who follows the order from enquiry to delivery. We communicate by WhatsApp, phone and email, whichever suits you, and we share production updates without waiting to be asked.
Helping with specifications
Not every customer arrives with a complete specification. A bag maker may know only that they need a strong, stiff canvas; a new ball manufacturer may know the panel material but not the backing fabric. In these cases we help translate the end use into a technical specification, explain the trade-offs between options, and recommend samples to test. Our goal is a material that works in your process and for your buyer, not simply the cheapest item on a price list.
Industries We Serve
Our customers come from a broad cross-section of Pakistani and international manufacturing:
- Garments and apparel – cotton and poly-cotton yarn, sewing thread, poplin, twill and drill fabrics.
- Home textiles – open-end and ring-spun yarns, sheeting and canvas for home décor.
- Sports goods – football fabric, stitching thread and bladder winding thread for balls made in Sialkot and elsewhere.
- Tents and tarpaulins – heavy cotton and poly-cotton canvas and heavy sewing threads.
- Bags, luggage and footwear – duck canvas, drill and bonded polyester thread.
- Workwear and uniforms – durable drills and twills and blended yarns.
- Kite makers and traders – plain, uncoated cotton kite flying thread.
- Traders and exporters – who need reliable materials to meet their own customers’ requirements.
Our Values
Consistency
Customers come back when the second order behaves like the first. We treat consistency as the most important quality a supplier can offer, and we organise our checking and record-keeping around it.
Clarity
Clear specifications, clear prices and clear timelines prevent most disputes. We write things down, use standard textile terms and explain them when needed.
Responsibility
We take responsibility for the materials we supply, including those finished by partner processors. If something goes wrong, we work with the customer to understand why and put it right.
Safety
Some textile products can be misused. We supply only plain, uncoated cotton kite thread and do not make or sell glass-coated, metallic or chemically coated cutting strings. We decline business that we believe is intended to break the law or put people at risk.
Long-term relationships
We would rather build a steady relationship with a customer over many orders than win a single order on a promise we cannot keep. That means realistic lead times, fair pricing and honest advice.
Export Supply From Pakistan
Pakistani yarn, cotton canvas, woven fabrics and sports-ball materials are bought by manufacturers in many countries. Soltex supports export customers with the documentation and logistics they need. For export orders we prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin, and we can work with your nominated freight forwarder or arrange shipment on common terms such as FOB or CFR. Where volumes allow, mixed shipments combining yarn, thread and fabric can be arranged.
Export buyers often need specific labelling, carton markings, roll lengths or packing configurations. We confirm these in the order sheet so that goods arrive ready for your warehouse or production line. If your importer requires additional documents or third-party inspection, tell us at the enquiry stage so we can plan for it.
Why One Supplier for Several Textile Inputs
Many of our customers started by buying a single product from us and later added others. There are practical reasons for this. A sports goods factory needs panel backing fabric, stitching thread and, for premium balls, winding thread; when all three come from one supplier, a problem in the finished ball can be traced quickly without three companies pointing at each other. A bag or tent maker buying canvas and heavy thread from the same source can plan deliveries together, reduce the number of purchase orders and often save on freight by combining loads.
Buying related materials together also helps with consistency. When we know how a yarn will be woven or how a fabric will be stitched, we can recommend counts, constructions and threads that work well together, rather than treating each item in isolation. That joined-up view is one of the main benefits we offer.
Working With Pakistan’s Textile Chain
Pakistan’s textile industry is made up of many specialist businesses: spinning mills, doubling and twisting units, weaving sheds, dyeing and finishing houses, laminators and packers. Few products move from fibre to finished fabric under a single roof. Part of our role is to coordinate these steps on behalf of our customers, so that a buyer can deal with one company and one specification while we manage the chain behind it.
This also gives us flexibility. When a customer needs a construction, finish or width that a single mill cannot provide, we can often source it through a partner with the right equipment, while keeping the same written specification and checking process. Wherever a product is made, the commitment to the customer is ours.
Small and Large Orders
We work with established manufacturers placing regular container orders and with smaller businesses buying carton lots for the first time. Minimum quantities depend on the product and on whether it is supplied from stock or made to order, and we state them clearly on each quotation. If you are a growing business, tell us your expected volumes over the coming months and we will suggest the most practical way to start.
What We Do Not Claim
We prefer to let our materials and our service speak for themselves. You will not find inflated statistics or unverified claims on this website. If you need specific information – test reports for a lot, documentation for an export order or details about the source of a product – ask us and we will tell you what we can provide and how.
